Motorcycle Soaps

These rip roarin' motorcycles make the perfect gift for your son or husband! Here is what you'll need for 3 bars of soap:

8 x .15 cc scoop of Black Iron Oxide
4 x .15 cc scoops Silver Mist Mica
4 x .15 cc scoops Gold Shimmer Mica
Fragrance Oil of your choice

Instructions:

   1. Prepare your work area. You’ll need at least 3 glass or plastic heat resistant measuring cup and a large clean workspace lined with newspaper or paper towel.

   2. Melt a small amount of soap base in the microwave. Add the black iron oxide, stirring well. Suck a small amount of the soap up into the soap injector tool, then gently squirt the soap into the recessed tires and seat of the mold. Keep a glass of hot water on hand to rinse out the injector between injections as the soap solidifies quickly in the shaft.

   3. Clean up any messy edges with our Soap Detailing Tool.

   4. Melt another amount of melt and pour soap and color it with the heavy metal gold mica, then color your choice of the pipes and motor.

   4. Melt another amount of melt and pour soap and color it with the silver mica. Fill in any empty spots with the silver soap.

   5. Melt the rest of your soap base and add about a teaspoon of fragrance. Stir gently to mix, then when the soap base has cooled enough so you can comfortably rest your hand against it, spritz the front layer of your soaps with alcohol to help the layers adhere and pour the rest of the soap into the cavities. Try layering the soap, giving at least 5-10 minutes cool-down time between each layer, remembering to spritz the soap with denatured alcohol. Cold soap can be re-heated in the microwave for 10-20 seconds.

   6. Wait 12-24 hours then gently de-mold your soaps. If you find they are sticking, place the mold in the freezer for 5 minutes before trying again. Using a dry paintbrush, swipe some mica onto the soap to highlight the chrome-like details.
