Behaviour in Cold Process Soap:

  • Consistency Change: Accelerates trace
  • Colour Change: Turns uncoloured soap a light to medium beige
  • Additional Notes: In Cold Process Soap we recommend using fragrances at a lower soap making temperature, approximately 110°F, and adding the fragrance at a light trace. We test our fragrance oils using a soap formula that does not trace quickly at a soap making temperature of 110°F. As soap formulas can vary, we recommend customers do their own small test batch to ensure the fragrance performs well in their own formula.

Amazing scent

The scent is great and very natural. Sometimes mistaken for almonds by customers. Scent is strong and lasts in both soy candles and CP soap. Like other reviews state, it does accelerate trace but you can use individual molds if pouring at a low temp.

Good for CP soap but accelerated trace

I found that this fragrance was good for the CP soap that I made, but it did accelerate trace a bit. I did not have an issue with ricing. I used it for a swirl design, and next time might have to stick blend a little less for swirls, or use for layers instead.

Otherwise, the smell is amazing and I have had my nose glued to the soap bars just taking in the fragrance. Would definitely buy again!

With CP - not a fan

Didn't have any issues making CP Soap but (insert choking sound here) I couldn't stand the scent once made.

Bath bombs turned out just fine & sold well.

Customers love it.

I use this to make a Cherry Oatmeal Soap for Christmas every year and my customers love it. I've never had it rice on me. I do CP at very low temperatures. I add the FO to the oils before adding the lye and soap at room temp. Never a problem. It does turn brown, which I don't mind. It's sweet with a little sharpness at the back of the throat straight from the bottle, like hard cherry candies. Once in soap, however, it mellows down to a softer finish, not so sweet.

This smells So amazing, one of my favs so far..works great in melt and pour soap, and will be making a body spray with it as well...
