- Consistency Change: Accelerates trace
- Colour Change: None
- Additional Notes: In Cold Process Soap we recommend using fragrances at a lower soap making temperature, approximately 110°F, and adding the fragrance at a light trace. We test our fragrance oils using a soap formula that does not trace quickly at a soap making temperature of 110°F. As soap formulas can vary, we recommend customers do their own small test batch to ensure the fragrance performs well in their own formula.

Rapid acceleration to trace- my batch seized and was hardly workable. Really nice scent though. Works nice with candles.
I planned a lovely swirled CP soap using a well-behaved recipe that I’d used before. I soaped at 95 degrees, coloured my batter, then added the FO just before pouring. This scent accelerated trace rapidly, turning my planned swirl into a spoon-plop-and-pray technique (thank goodness I had a plan B). The soap turned out great despite all that, and the scent is delicious! I will use it again ... recommended, but plan your recipe accordingly.
I used in CP soap, being careful because I had not used FO before. Soaped at room temp (oils and lye), brought soap batter to just emulsified. I also warmed FO to room temp, blended in a bit of oil from recipe before adding to batter. These actions gave me time to work with 4 colors, but I still had to spoon batter into mold. Worth the trouble though, this FO is very nice. A bit sweet, works for both men and women.
Very strong ocean smell. Fresh, but not salty. Smells like ocean breeze.
