We test our fragrance oils using a soap formula that does not trace quickly at a soap making temperature of 110°F. As soap formulas can vary, we recommend customers do their own small test batch to ensure the fragrance performs well in their own formula.

Smells great, slows trace

This peppermint fragrance is the embodiment of what peppermint should be in a scent! It’s a very bold fragrance that juuuust verges on eye-watering-menthol territory, so be mindful of that if you’re mixing it with another fragrance.

I knock one star off because, while it slowed trace and was beautiful to work with (I pulled off an incredible hanger swirl and had 30 minutes before it got too thick), it softened my soap. It isn’t as bad as Red Cedarwood, which turned my soap into soft clay, but after curing for three weeks my peppermint soap still gives a bit when I press down on it. The bars are still functional, but if you use this fragrance then give your loaf a few extra days in the mold before cutting and let it cure for much longer.

Nice crisp scent

A lovely, crisp scent! I personally would prefer it a bit stronger, but that's just me - I love a super-duper strong peppermint smell, and I'm always on the search for a super-crazy-strong one. But this is still great! It's exactly what you'd expect - a nice, crisp, clean peppermint smell.

Merveilleux

Très bien comme parfum! J'adore qu'il ne soit pas sucré comme un bonbon, on sent vraiment la menthe et j'adore!

Best seller

This is the most peppermint-y peppermint you will ever smell. It is super crisp and fresh. A best seller. It worked wonderfully in CP except it does a weird thing to uncolored cp soap. It makes the edges crumbly. I soap at 110, so temperature isn't the issue. I added mica and the mica batch worked beautifully with no crumbly edges. Really weird, but a wonderful scent, so it's worth it. I always have to buy the biggest bottle!
